“He’s called Chino, he’s 10 years old, chocolate Labrador. He’s a massive foodie - he’s been known to steal people’s dinners when they’ve left the room, sometimes even in front of them if he thinks he can get away with it. He’s a loveable whimp - he chases the neighbours cat, corners him & then has a nap next to him. He is currently battling cancer - so he’s had a tough year with lots of surgeries & chemo.”

“5 years ago, my son and I came face to face with death. A real struggle for strength with many challenges along the way but looking back, I’m grateful for that experience because it shaped me into the doctor and human that I am today.”

“This is my wonderful sister and her brave, joyful son. He's almost 6 and is yet to walk or talk or do the things other children do. Minutes before this picture she was in tears because her son couldn't walk down the aisle with the other little flower bearers.. and he wouldn't get into his specialised car because it was all too much for him. So she held him and danced down the aisle with him.. half laughing, half crying.”

“This birthday was at my favourite restaurant, where I was celebrating without my mother for the first time. Still, it was a special night thanks to my husband and boys.”

“When I moved to NYC it was the first time I spent time with myself. Just me and my thoughts..the good the bad..it was the first time I'd ever spent time alone. I couldn't see it then but it was definitely the start of a journey for me in understanding who I really was.”

“I still remember the day you where born, a tiny little boy with the biggest eyes. The last 8 year's have just flown by. You have turned into a gorgeous, cheeky and mischievous little boy. Roll on another 10 years.”
